Description

“Nature in microcosm is woven into the fabric of many Gaelic songs and poems”

Cathal was inspired here by the effect that nature (the wind and the rain) had on an old house in his vicinity (near Gortahork, Co. Donegal). The poem, called Fothrach Tí i Mín na Craoibhe (Ruin of House in Mín na Craoibhe), was on the Leaving Certificate examination in Ireland for many years.
