This book is a pictorial record of Seoirse Ó Dochartaigh’s exhibition of paintings entitled “The Seven Races of Inishowen O’ Doherty” which was shown in many parts of Co. Donegal since its opening in the Tullyarvan Mill, Buncrana, in July 2005. Seoirse – a musician, painter and genealogist – spent many years researching his clan’s history . The images evoked here explore the origins of Clann Fíamhain – the ancient name of the clan – through the remnants of the many O’Doherty castles and residences scattered all over beautiful Inishowen.
