Out-takes From the Back Hills
These are tracks that didn’t make the final cut for the box set “Another Side of Seoirse” released in 2012. Sound engineer, Aidan McLoughlin, thought they were quite good takes and definitely should not be deleted, so we set about experimenting a bit with these nine abandoned songs and added some reverb which we rarely used on the box set tracks. I think there is an interesting ambience in the selection despite the fact that most are covers of other peoples’ songs – more so than anything in the box set. So, forgive me if I sound a bit like Gordon Lightfoot, Jeff Buckley, Paul Simon, Charlie McGettigan and others. I really enjoyed singing the songs at the time and tried very hard to bring out the emotional power of the originals. Enjoy! FREE DOWNLOADS
